About Speakeasy.im

Speakeasy.im is built by an independent developer focused on self-hosted communication, native desktop clients, real-time media, and end to end encrypted systems.

Built by someone who wants to own the stack.

I started Speakeasy.im because I wanted a communication app that could run on hardware I control, be inspected end to end, and still feel good enough for daily voice chat, screen watching, and long-running communities.

The project brings together Electron, WebRTC, MediaSoup, native capture work, self-host packaging, and MLS based end to end encryption. The goal is a practical system that regular people can host while still giving technical users room to audit, customize, and push it further.

I am available for consulting work around Electron apps, real-time communication systems, self-hosted infrastructure, media capture, and security-sensitive product architecture.
